The Sanskrit name Manipura is derived from two words, Mani meaning “jewel”, pura meaning “city”. This is the 3rd chakra, also known as the power chakra and is the centre of dynamism, energy, willpower and accomplishments. The Solar Plexus Chakra is associated with the sense of sight, and the action of movement.
