Hamsa "Karma" Gold Bracelet

$90.00 AUD

Depicting the open right hand, the Hamsa is  recognised and used as a sign of protection in many societies throughout history, the Hamsa is believed to provide defense against the evil eye. The symbol predates Christianity and Islam. In Islam, it is also known as the Hand of Fatima, so named to commemorate Muhammad's daughter Fatima Zahra. Levantine Christians call it the Hand of Mary, for the Virgin Mary. In the Jewish faith it is referred to as the Hand of Miriam in remembrance of the biblical Miriam, sister of Moses and Aaron. Hamsa hand bracelets are worn by people who have the faith in a “Supreme Power” and find themselves at a cross-road in life. They could follow different religions. They would want to depend on this energy source to keep themselves protected from negative influences that are otherwise outside their control. The word “hamsa” or “hamesh” means five.

This bracelet is on a high quality adjustable black cotton cord, with 18k gold vermeil over .925 sterling silver 20mm disc. Our range can be worn on its own, or with our Chakra, Zodiac and Aglaea bracelets in a "stacked" style.
